Interview: Patricia Schmidt

I am so excited to have Patricia Schmidt on the Still Becoming podcast this month. We explore wellness and wholeness on this podcast, and the practice of yoga is one that offers so much wisdom, insight, and healing to the human experience. Patty describes the lessons and practices that can apply to our everyday life, especially right now during COVID19. This interview is soothing, insightful, and applicable even if you do not practice yoga, which I don't (yet!). I was blown away by Patty and what she shared.

Patty and I spend some time talking about the way our breath reveals our mind state, and ways we might use our breath to understand ourselves, to be compassionate with ourselves. We talk about how altering the fluctuations of our breath might bring us toward a greater sense of peace, and Patty has on her website, offered a short guided meditation on the breath, which you may use to explore this practice. We also discuss a type of mindfulness practice called 'naming', and Patty has created a guide to this practice, too, as a complement to the podcast. The links are in the show notes and here below!
